Snapbrillia was born six months ago with the mission to accelerate the world's transition to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce and guarantee fair opportunities for all through the adoption of AI and blockchain technologies globally. Earlier in February after deep research and much deliberation, we decided to work to deploy an open-source quadratic voting and funding platform to foster a community of open-source projects, contributors, and entrepreneurs.

Quadratic fund matching strongly encourages people to make contributions, no matter how small and ensures a democratic allocation of funds meant to benefit the public. This is especially relevant now as 48.2% of the Catalyst community is concerned with the "Whale Effect" on voting. When voting power is consolidated into a few individuals instead of democratizing voting for public goods like open-source tools and projects, it doesn't always advance the public good and it weakens democracy. We want to drive higher enthusiasm for the Cardano ecosystem, community, and open-source projects overall because both the funding sources and voting power will become more decentralized. This enforces different individuals and communities to align between different open source community efforts to produce the most public good instead of consolidating funding and voting power to themselves.

We are also implementing a mentor-mentee eLearning marketplace with development bounties, workshops, and hackathons to foster a vibrant community of developers and entrepreneurs. We also realized that IDE dependency setup is a big blocker to effective collaboration on Cardano and so we are streamlining onboarding with a No-code-setup Collaborative Cloud IDE with the support of Haskell, Plutus, and Marlowe to boost mentor-mentee developer productivity and accelerate collaboration and eLearning.

Since Snapbrillia’s conception, we have been hacking away to launch our AI hiring solution with API access to 840 million professionals in January of 2022 which is currently being adopted by Fortune 1000 companies. We have since discovered that the biggest need for people breaking into the tech industry is a hands-on development experience with an effective mentorship. Our mentor-mentee eLearning marketplace with real development bounties, workshops, and hackathons offers real opportunities for developers to come together, learn together, and gain hands-on dev experience together while collaborating with other mentors and developers.
